Now this is one of my favorite topics.  I am certainly a coupon-er, a discount lover, and a freebie chaser.  I have a few resources but I am going to begin with my new favorite...Uberzon.  This site allows you to sign up for their email "flash" sales.  Items are typically $1 but can go up to $5.  In the emails they send, you click through to Amazon.  You add the item to your cart, along with the discount code in the email and check out!  The items range from Yoga towels, to Vitamin C serums.  The object of the game is to be one of the first to redeem the offers because there are limited quantities available.  I've been able to try out so many different products that I never would have taken the gamble on at their regular prices.  They send out several email per day and I tend to redeem at least 1/week but since June 1st I've received 6 products with the most expensive being a $30 jar of moisturizer for $3!  I know this isn't technically "Free" but it is very close!  Give it a try & let me know what you think!

So last week I told you about Uberzon - the site that sends you emails throughout the day for various items that are discounted down to a few bucks.  They do this to build up reviews of their products and establish their reputation.  At any rate, I am still grabbing some (not all) deals.

This week, I wanted to tell you all about how I save when shopping online.  When I know that I am going to make a purchase online, I always go to Fatwallet first.  This site provides discounts on various retail sites, and also provides you with cash back on those purchases so you can actually save twice!  I got my first check for $12.34 this week and I was so excited!  I know it's not much but I love seeing a return on shopping that I would have done anyway just because I clicked through their site.  Free money is always good!  Simply build an account, and keep them in the back of your mind anytime you need a discount or are shopping online.  They usually have several discount codes to choose from for lots of popular stores.  Try it out if you like.  Don't miss out on free money!

I love magazines!  There is nothing like sitting back in that pedicure chair or under the dryer at the salon with a good mag!  So this week I thought I'd give you my hook-up on free magazines.  If you haven't already gone to RewardsGold.com, head on over!  They always have easy ways to earn points (like referring friends, or answering surveys).  In turn, you can use your points toward magazine subscriptions.  The choices include everything from Martha Stewart Living to Glamour Magazine.  They also have some digital subscription choices for use on tablets.  Give it a whirl and let me know what you think!

Discounts & Freebies


I hope that by now you've at least tried (and maybe even have enjoyed) some of the great discounts and freebies that I've sent out.  If you ever have any questions about them, shoot me an email.  I have used all of the sites that I recommend so I can answer most questions about them. 

Last week a friend asked me if I knew of any sites to download free Ebooks.  Without missing a beat, I told her about BookBub.  They have free Ebooks that you can download and keep forever (or as long as it takes to read it).  They send you recommendations based on your interests, but you are free to browse beyond their list.  They have a pretty nice selection with many different genres and are compatible with various devices and if you don't see anything in the free section, they have other Ebooks available for purchase.  This is great summer reading. 

Another place that I find the occasional Freebie is Target!  I check there regularly to see if they have any give-a ways.  They usually have you answer a few questions, and just like that you have a freebie.  Today I signed up for a sample of John Frieda Frizz Ease (of which I really need in this humidity).  Check it out!
